MX Shower Trays

As the UK’s largest provider of shower trays, MX produces roughly 6,000 trays each week in over 200 different variations. These shower trays can be categorized based on their profiles, each one allowing for a different level of accessibility and installation: Classic High Wall, Low Profile and Ultra-Low Profile.

High Wall shower trays range in size from 80mm to 100mm and create a durable foundation for your shower. The Classic model is MX’s most traditional offering and is available in the most common shapes to suit several different installation types: square, rectangle, quadrant and more. They also come in a variety of RAL colours, meaning you can easily match your current environment or simply help your shower stand out from the rest.

Low Profile shower trays from MX, on the other hand, offer easier installation and easier accessibility while still providing a strong base capable of standing up to regular use. Models from the Elements and Expression lines, for example, lend themselves to the latest styles and are 40% lighter than classic stone resin shower trays. Both also come with an acrylic capped ABS finish, making the surface scratch-resistant and extra durable. Expressions shower trays are also designed with a hidden waste, resulting in a minimalistic and sleek look that’s especially efficient.

DucoLite and DucoStone shower trays also highlight MX’s low profile options. At only 45mm high, these trays are particularly installation-friendly and are 75% and 60% lighter, respectively, than the classic tray. Unlike other trays, however, Duco models are characterized by their adaptability and can easily be cut down to fit more bathroom shapes.

Ultra-Low Profile shower trays are the thinnest and lightest available and while MX’s Gravity, Earth and Optimum models all offer a 25mm height, they each deliver a fantastic shower experience in different ways. Gravity stone resin trays, for example, provide the luxury of a wetroom without the high price tag and include a top access waste for easy installation, service and maintenance, while Earth models offer enhanced aesthetics thanks to their gel coat and variety of granite-effect finishes that are cool to the touch.

Accessories

In addition to the trays themselves, MX offers shower tray accessories designed to speed up installations and optimize performance. Their Standard Hi-Flow Waste, for example, enables water to flow from the tray at a rate of 28L per minute while the similarly-designed 90mm Hi-Flow Waste with Offset Elbow enables a flow rate of 32L per minute. The vented domes of each allow for the higher flow and can be cleaned and maintained with ease.

When it comes to installation, MX offers its own compound adhesive and Flexi Seal Strip to create watertight seals and a permanent bond to keep your shower safe and waterproof. The extendible Flexi Waste Pipe extends up to 1000mm and also helps to reduce installation times so you can complete your project and enjoy all the incredible benefits of an MX shower tray as quickly and efficiently as possible.
